Christmas party games everyone actually joins in
Put TogetherPlay on the TV or a laptop, everyone scans a QR code, and the whole room is playing in under a minute. Free, no app, 2 to 20 players per screen. Below are two ready-made running orders: one for the work Christmas party and one for Christmas with the family.
Work Christmas party: a 45-minute running order
Loud and easy first, so nobody feels put on the spot, then a little more personal. Turn on work-safe mode and every question stays appropriate for colleagues.
- Act It Out (10 min): charades with the word on your phone. Act it out or make noises only while everyone shouts guesses.
- Common Ground (8 min): everyone answers the same quick question. Match answers to score.
- Two Truths and a Lie (12 min): one person's two true facts and one lie. Can the team spot it?
- Team Challenge (8 min): quick, get-off-your-chair challenges against the clock.
- Read the Room (8 min): predict what most of the office picked.
Got more time after lunch? Finish with Murder Mystery Night (45 min) or Wolf in the Village, a werewolf game with a narrator voice (40 min).
Family Christmas: a 35-minute running order
For kids, parents and grandparents together. Little ones can share a phone with a parent.
- Act It Out (10 min, ages 6+): easy words like animals, actions and jobs.
- Team Challenge (8 min, ages 5+): everybody up, moves and silly sounds.
- Do You Know Me? (10 min, ages 6+): one person answers in secret. Who knows Grandma best?
- Story Chain (8 min, ages 8+): write a story one line at a time, then read the mess out loud.
After dessert, try the family-friendly murder mystery The Vanishing Birthday Cake: the cake disappears from the laundry bench before the candles. Ages 8 and up, nothing scary.
